About ...

I am a Visual Artist trained to use any medium that seems appropriate to express myself in my Art.
I majored in Ceramics and minored in Jewelery Design at Curtin University in Western Australia.

I was determined to make my living from my Art and spent the first 6 years out from University working with a production Potter from Bendigo , Victoria . He made exquisite hand thrown ware and I decorated it . We managed to survive in the retail market for all that time . I then went onto paint my designs onto tiles which were then used as a decorative wall hanging . These were a great success in Australia and kept myself and 7 others in Employment making Art - how fantastic!

In 2000 I attended the New York Art Licensing Fair and became interested in applying my designs onto other products . I exhibited there in 2002 and had great success in both the USA and Australia with my Brand on a range of functional gift ware such as greeting cards, linen, place mats and ceramics .
While I am very passionate about original works , I really enjoy designing and working with other people and finding a way to make my designs work on different types of products.
I especially love the production process.

I decided to close my large studio in 2005 and concentrate on raising and enjoying time with my daughter.
Sometimes I work with my husband, who is a talented steel artist a where I may design a piece and he makes it. Check his web site out . www.leepotter.com

Presently I am thoroughly enjoying painting in my home studio, adding to my etsy store , continuing with Art Licensing  while bringing up my beautiful 4 1/2 year old daughter.

That's my story in a nutshell!
